From Pisa
in the direction of Grosseto, take exit Follonica/Massa Marittima street n°439, in the direction for Prata street n°441 or from Gabellino n°162 following directions for Chiusdino/Siena.
On streetn°162, at the end of kilometre 11, begins kilometre 10 where you find a large gate on the left with a wooden sign written "I Monti" in yellow.
Follow this gravel road bearing uphill for ca.
900m, accessible to all vehicles but to be taken slowly.
From Grosseto:
exit Follonica/Massa Marittima then see above.
From Florence:
for Traveling in the direction for Colle Val D'Elsa, exit Colle Val d'Elsa south and follow directions Follonica/Chiusdino/Massa Marittima and continue on street n°441 for San Galgano.
Pass through the village Palazzetto and continue for ca.6 or 7 km in the direction of Massa Marittima.
Pass the sign marking the border of the province of Grosseto and being on provincial road n°162, at the end of kilometre 10/beginning of kilometre 11 there is a large gate on the right with wooden sign written "I Monti" in yellow.
Follow this gravel road bearing uphill for ca. 900m, accessible to all vehicles but to be taken slowly.
From Siena:
Traveling in the direction for Sovicille/Rosia and then for Massa Marittima/Follonica.
After the S.Galgano Abbey continue for ca. 9km in the direction for Prata/Follonica where the province of Siena ends and the province of Grosseto begins.
On provincial road n°162 at the end of kilometre 10/beginning of kilometre 11 there is a large gate on the right with wooden sign written "I Monti" in yellow.
